About us
The WW2 Allied Re enactment Group is composed of the 1st Battalion, London Irish Rifles; the Polish 1st independant Paratroop Brigade, an RAMC field dressing station, QAIMNS nurses and a representation of a unit of the Royal Corps of Signals. We have also begun to represent the Corps of Military Police (Red Caps) attached to the 56th Division during the war. We try to portray what these combat fighting and support units would have looked like in the field.
Our aim is to tell the story of what it would have been like for the men and women serving in these units, their uniforms, their equipment and the vehicles that they would have used.
We hope through doing this to bring to life this part of our history for a future generation, the deeds and accomplishments of these brave soldiers, doctors, nurses and signallers, so many of whom gave their lives for the benefit and freedom of us all.
Come and visit us at one of the many annual events we support, or at our main annual event in Dunncannon, County Wexford, each June Bank Holiday Weekend.
Our members are always more than happy to answer any enquiries, either in person or alternatively via this contact form.
