WW2 Allied Re-enactment group- "WARGROUP"
Incorporating IWOI Crown Forces and WW1 London Irish Rifles
WELCOME!
If your heart skips a beat when you watch a WW2 movie, if you are fascinated by the history of the struggle between the axis and allies, the fight for the freedom of most of the world between 1939 and 1945, if you respect the memory of the many many thousands of men and women on all sides who gave up their lives fighting for their countries, then you'll love our group!
WARGroup now incorporates the Irish War of Independance Crown Forces group and the WW1 London Irish Rifles group- see their pages for more information on the work of this aspect of WARGroup.

London Irish Rifles
We're passionate about the Allied WW2 fighting forces! It's a pleasure to share some of this with you. Our group's combined knowledge and enthusiasm allow us to hopefully give you a flavour of the forces ranged against Hitlers armies. Discover a little more about the fighting men of the London Irish Rifles here- just click on the image on the left!
Polish 1st Independant Paratroop Brigade
RAMC & QAIMNS Field Unit
Here we devote some time and space to the many men and women of the Royal Army Medical Corps, and the dedicated nurses of the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service. These men and women, sometimes forgotten, worked tirelessly in awful conditions, often without the basic necessecities we now take for granted, trying to comfort and patch up the soldiers (and civilians) injured in battle, or simply provide comfort to the dying.
Royal Corps of Signals
We are devoting this space to another unsung group of heroes- the Royal Corps of Signals who, like the RAMC and other essential "service" corps, were divided up and attached to all elements of the army. They therefore saw every theatre of war, and were often key to the tactical success of battlefield ventures.
Corps of Military Police
This area is devoted to another essential but often quite unpopular group of soldiers- the Corps of Military Police, who not only helped keep discipline and order both on and off duty, but were key in keeping the machinery of battle going- namely the flow of supplies along the narrow thoroughfares to and from the battlefronts. Click here to learn more about this unsung group...
